Van Persie Considers Leave If Moyes Stays
The way the ongoing season has gone for Manchester United, it’s certain that there will be strict decisions taken by the board at the end of it.
There might be a few sackings and it might be the manager himself to suffer it. Nobody knows, but, one thing is looking pretty clear that if Moyes continues to receive the backing of the owners and is given another season to prove himself, some heavyweight players of the club will start thinking seriously about their future and one of them will be Robin Van Persie.
There have been a lot of reports this season suggesting that all is not well between the Dutch striker and the manager. Although, nothing has been said in the public yet by the two guys regarding that but, it can be felt.
Moreover, the main reason behind Van Persie leaving Arsenal and joining United at the start of the 2012-13 Season was the chance to play under the guidance of the legend Sir Alex Ferguson, but, he’s gone now and United is looking like a club which will have to go through a transition phase.
Van Persie is already close to 31 years of age. He would definitely not like to waste his 2-3 peak years playing for a club which has very little chances of winning trophies in the near future and that too when his tuning with the manager is not great.
If some sources are to be believed, United might not be that keen to convince Van Persie to stay either. A long contract extension given to Wayne Rooney recently means that it’s him around whom the club wants to build the new team now.
Let’s see what happens. It’s going to be pretty interesting next few months for the Red Devils fans.
